Soon the process of reformation had begun, and Kei already felt the effects of being reformed. Due to repeated use of the transporter in the lab, the transporter recognized Kei's genetics and thus was capable of transferring him first. He body was soon reformed, and he leaned onto the wall in front of him to catch breath. The command was still in force....but not for long.
His right eye set in motion, finally unlocking the key to the command, disabling all functions of it. Kei sighed in relief as he felt his body suddenly feel lighter. He looked over noticing that the other two were still being transfered. Smiling a little, he pressed a button on the panel and stepping forwards so that a glass sealed off the air between him and them. No reason to contaminate them for him to escape properly. He turned to look back at the partially formed Zairu.
"Best...of luck to you...." He spoke, opening the door and gently walking out. He knew the rate of transfer and at his rate of walking he would be at least half a mile away by then.....One thing he didn't take into account was how he would look to others while walking. A bloodied mass of humanity's mistaken flesh, walking in shredded clothing to an unknown location....
Ahh, the strangeness of ignorance.

Blackness. No light. No sound. No feeling.
Nothing.
That fleeting moment and then she felt herself being pieced back together. A light shimmered and she could soon see again. Glancing around, she saw Chiwi being materialized as well before looking down at her own self. She held up her hands and watched in fascination as it her hands formed, like sand being compressed together. Looking up, she saw the boy press a button so that glass separated the girls and him.
Though muffled, her hearing had come back and she heard him wish them the best of luck before starting to walk away.
"Wait a minute!" Her voice had been the next to come back, but her legs were still being materialized. As they appeared, she suddenly lost her coordination and slumped to the ground, watching until Chiwi herself was done with the transformation before being able to get up.
"Are you alright?" After hearing Chiwi's answer, she tugged at her wrist, "Come on. We need to find where that guy went!"
It wasn't that hard, after Zairu grudgingly dipped a couple fingers in his blood to catch his scent and waited for Chiwi to do that same.
"It's the only way we'll know we're on the right track." She explained for the gross task. Stepping out into an alleyway and about to go into a populated street, she stopped.
"What're we gonna do? We can't just walk out here. Somebody's gonna freak out if they see us like this! See if we can't find a long cloth or something to cover us up."

"Are you alright?"
The words came to her after she returned from the terrilbe void. Shivering, she ran her hands up and down her arms before replying. "I think I'll be fine... just so long as I never have to do that again." She responded tersely.
Zairu hardly gave her time to adjust to being whole again before she felt herself being yanked out of the transporter. "Come on. We need to find where that guy went!"
Mumbling as she was being dragged along, she finally asked, "So what happened to him anyways?"
Kneeling down with her friend, she also sniffed a sample of the blood. Replying to Zairu, she said, "Yes, I know... I just don't like it..."
"What're we gonna do? We can't just walk out here. Somebody's gonna freak out if they see us like this! See if we can't find a long cloth or something to cover us up." Looking around, she nodded.
This time, Chiwi grabbed her friends arm, and pulled her to a nearby store, which sold curtains. They bought a set of long black curtains; each took one and, wrapping it around themselves, managed to disguse enough of their true forms.
Then, the hunt for Kei began.

Kei silently walked into the town. He looked around, noticing the looks of atrocity and fear around him. Had it not been for his strange appearance, surely someone would have the heart enough to ask if he was in health enough to be walking.
Of course, rumors traveled far. The rumors of a blue-haired male by the age of 18 who had a biotechnological eye replacement, and the ability to change eye color from grey to red and to green in the case of his right eye. Rumors also said he carried several scars....But not all rumors were true.
The citizens of the town noticed the strangeness of his being, and instead of helping someone that looked so near death, he was shunned. All in the town were quickly ushered into their houses, and all things closed down at once.....
He was not wanted here.
Or anywhere for that matter.
Kei sighed, walking out of the town quickly, keeping eyes downcast, noticing the small bloodlets that formed on the ground from the blood dripping at the tips of his fingers. An easy trail, or a grim reminder that he had passed through? Kei grimaced, tearing off another patch of his already torn shirt, wrapping half of said piece around one hand, the other on the other hand.
It seemed that he had walked for several minutes when he finally reached the other end of the town. If he continued to walk in the same direction, he would arrive at his house....But those two girls. They were bound to be intelligent. After all, the project was meant to take on human beings capable of such strange experiments...They had to be physically capable and mentally able to adapt to new changes in environments...inside or out.
Kei sighed heavily, the blood loss was now starting to affect him. He hadn't slept in...four days was it?....Or longer... The human body can only take so much activity and his body can only produce a certain amount of blood cells per day....Without rest. Silently to get his mind off of other matters, he began to research the statistics of the two girls.
First subject: Zairu Khos. Genetic implimentation: DNA strands of the White Siberian tiger and the White artic wolves. Xenotransplantation ID Number 0x 950-67TS Current Status: Escaped. Project Status: On Hiatus until subjects are retrieved.
Second Subject: Chiwi Zetsfir. Genetic implimentation: DNA strands of the household black cat. Other DNA was not found. Xenotransplantation ID number 0x 950-58TY Current Status: Escaped with Subject 1. Project status: Hiatus.
Kei growled inwardly...Xenotransplantation?! What were they thinking?! There are only 7 cases of live participants in the world. Such dangerous experiments....Hadn't they failed before? Or was it not enough to know they destroyed the lives of countless for the purpose of science under the farse of "healing "
Part of him wanted to run back to those two girls, to hide them from the doctor, and another part wanted to just disappear. From their minds, from their memory, their sight and ears.....To just die to end all agony. He shook away all thoughts and walked outside of the town. At about 3/4 a mile away from the town, Kei stopped. He looked up from his normal downcast ways, eyes widening a little.
"No.....They can't be sending THEM...."

Tugged into a nearby store by Chiwi and buying a pair of black curtains, consciously keeping them from being seen too much by the owner, they ran back out into the alleyway and flung it over themselves. She wrapped it loosely around her thighs before quickly twining it up her body so that her tail, her arms, her ears, and finally wrapped around her neck. Only her legs were visible, the bottom part of her face, and one clawed hand to keep the curtain from falling; Zairu feared that the markings would give them away, but there was nothing else she could do, the curtain wasn’t long enough to completely cover her. It was extremely hard to breath in that stifling curtain, not to mention hot, and Zairu wanted to slash it or burn it as soon as possible.
Walking quickly out, they set off at what seemed a normal pace to them, but may have been seen as an almost run by others. Zairu was shocked at the near complete desertion of the road they followed, with frightened faces poking out from doorways to slam shut or to duck behind a crate, if she or Chiwi happened to glance in their direction. The trail wasn’t that hard to follow; a trail of blood helped along with their enhanced sense of smell.
What was with these people!? They must have seen the boy so why hadn’t they helped him? It was pretty obvious for people, who were even pure blind, that he needed medical attention!
They finally reached the end of town, the black curtains nearly strangling them and causing heat stroke. Taking them off in relief, wiping off sweat that trickled down their foreheads and arms, they saw him as a little speck that gradually got bigger until they were just a few feet behind. Yet, why was he standing there?
“Hey! Wait up a minute! We got some…questions…” Nearly upon him, Zairu stopped short, her sentence trailing, as she looked beyond him and saw something coming their way, “What…the heck is that?”
Noticing the tension the boy had, she knew that it was something they’d rather not run into.

Kei whirled around, hearing the distant voices of the two girls. He shuddered lightly, recalling the information of all the experiments performed...Such graphic information, videos that did not require to be seen. He looked back towards the figure. The sheen of the black exoskeleton nearly blinding in the high sunlight.
Kei growled, gritting his teeth in the process. There was no way out this time. No where to run, nothing that can be of distraction...unless....No. Kei quickly shook the idea out of his head. They were escapees, and that was the reason why this figure was here....wasn't it?
A familiar feeling of dread and sickness began to fill his being. Was it him they wanted? Would they....take him back...to be used again? After those 5 years of peace, they finally return to get him? No...that can't be right. He wasn't it's target. They were, he was only a beneficiary in the path of destruction.
Kei turned back, surprised to see the figure just steps away from him. Immediately he stood on guard, though hopelessly weak from blood loss and lack of rest. The figure stood at rest...or what seemed at rest for it.
The figure was neither human nor animal. Created in a lab, it had no soul, nor feeling. It stood for a moment, head downcast, eyes closed...it's arms stood at rest by it's body, trailing down by what was passable for thighs. It's body, though smooth and shiny, was spiked at the hands and feet, long spikes emerging from it's back. The figure looked up, slowly opening it's eyes.
The red glow slowly began to shine in the bright light, all four eyes gleaming lightly. It's face had no features but the eyes, no mouth to speak, no voice, nothing. It tilted it's head to the side in a strange silence, eyes gleaming all the more.
Subject: Mimic....Objective: Destroy. Subject is an annoyance to the DUAL Project and must be eliminated. You will perish or return quietly. I am required to give you this chance to have life. Take it and I shall not kill you. the figure's words ran through Kei's mind.
Kei growled lighlty, replying with his own thoughts.
I will NEVER return to that bastard, is that understood?! Those two from the DUAL project....You won't have them either. I will destroy you before letting others get involved in my matters. Prepare yourself!

Carefully wrapping and tucking the curtain around herself, Chiwi felt rather silly. Yet, she was able to refrain from laughter and joking by the gravity of their situation. Perhaps, if their lives ever returned to normal, they would look back on this incident and laugh. As for now, they had work to do.
Walking around in the town gave Chiwi an edgy feeling; at first, it felt like an almost indefinable dislike. As she walked on, checking out the path, and where the people were standing, it dawned on her what she did not like about these people.
None of them had helped Kei, who had evidently stumbled down the streets, bleeding profusely. Not one of them had probably even asked him if he needed help, or, more than likely, even gave him a second look. They just moved out of the way, so that they would not happen to brush up against, or be near to, what they perceived to be a monster.
For a moment, she shook in silent rage, thinking to herself, How can everyone be so rude to someone how needs so much help?, but managed to calm herself down quick enough.
Much to Chiwi's relief, they finally reached they edge of town, which meant they could finally take of the curtains. The black cloth had been suffocating, and difficult to move in without having to hold it in place with one arm. Looking at herself, she thought, One thing I'm going to do is somehow find a shower...
As they came up on Kei, they found him simply standing, not seeming to make any attempt at gaining ground against them. "What’s wrong?" Chiwi mumbled under her breath as they approached.
"Oh...crap..." Chiwi said allowed as she saw what the problem was. Taking an involuntary step backwards, she stood agape. Calling out to the one they had been following, she shouted tentatively, "Hey....You! What is that thing?!"

Kei looked back suddenly, the shouting of the two females distracting him. He looked upon them almost in fear.
"Run away! Get away from here!! It's not safe!" He managed to shout before he saw out of the corner of his eye, the figure approaching him rapidly. Kei turned back in time to block an aerial assault. He stood glaring at his opponent, who silently spoke to him through the Mimic cells. In other words, communication was only possible with the being who contained Mimic cells. All other forms are incommunicable.
"Why have they sent the Reu?! " Kei said aloud, dodging a mock punch, and backing away from several slash attempts. When the Reu tried to kick him, Kei jumped up, higher than an human could, performing a summersault before landing on the ground. Soon he found himself on his knees, drained of some energy. He cursed the limits of blood loss silently.
[glow=red,2,300]You have done well. Now, let me take over.[/glow] a voice spoke in the inside of Kei's mind, causing Kei to shudder involunterily. Suddenly he felt his consciousness fade and slowly closed his eyes. Suddenly his eyes flashed open, completely blank and glowing the same menacing red as the lab. He stood slowly, glaring at the figure, the Reu as it was called.
[glow=red,2,300]You want a fight? You've got one, come at me! [/glow] this Kei spoke through it's cells, keeling over slightly, arms clutching at the torn and blood-stained cloth covering his back. Though in HIS control, Kei's body still felt all pain.
Kei screamed out, the scream from the lab, scared, frightened, in pain. His body shivered, and he felt his back begin to expand, as if something inside wanted out. Without warning, long blades burst forth from his skin, causing a loud scream of pain followed by a short whimper. Kei looked up at the Reu, silently looking over at the two girls without moving. He shivered violently once he felt more blades poke out of the skin at his elbow and knee joints.
Suddenly Kei's body jolted further, and he felt a spurt of blood rise to his throat. He tossed it out silently, the acidity returning and hissing as it hit the ground. Kei shuddered, the feeling of his face and body mold to this strange form was an uncomfortable process. But soon it was done. A short blast of steam erupted from the cracks between joints, producing an effective cloud at the same time. Kei tilted his head, which now only had eyes visible, much like the Reu but only two eyes instead of four.
Kei's body was now a silver-chrome color, and his waist was equally as thin as the Reu's. Along his waist and lower abdomen, lines ran into each other, creating a V-line effect. Kei's shoulders had missed a joint, and there was a crack between the elevated humerus bone and shoulder joint. The femur bone had also grown in length, going up back the hip joint and reaching just inches from his waist. And now his whole body was covered in a silver armorish exoskeleton.
Kei felt his body lean backwards, eyes seeing the blue calm sky. A loud roar mixed in with a roar erupted from his throat, in declaration of his power in battle. The Reu....would not survive......

"Run away! Get away from here!! It's not safe!" Chiwi heard Kei shout at them. Shaking her head, she mumbled the word 'obviously' under her breath. Still, she took a couple steps back in fright.
Looking between the boy they had been following and the monster which confronted him, she thought, Now, this is going to be interesting...
"Why have they sent the Reu?!"
The words randomly sprang from the boy's mouth as the fight began. Then that must be a...Reu I take it?
After a moment, Kei was on his knees, and looked to be suffering greatly. Nervously, Chiwi's ears twitched, as she thought, Heh... if he dies... then that thing is going to come after us.... Looking nervously at her friend, then back to the fight, she readied herself to fight in case he died.
At about that moment, Kei's form changed, until he was some sort of silvery creature. As he finished the transformation, he let out a large roar, which filled her ears. Covering them, Chiwi shook her head slightly.

Zairu looked on, a little indignant that the boy would point out something so obvious. It wasn't safe? DUH!!! The last time she checked, she wasn't oblivious to what went on around her.
As the battle went on, the mystery of what that thing was became apparent. A Reu. But exactly what was a Reu? What was it's purpose? She...felt nothing, no anger, no excitement coming from it resulting from the battle. She clapped her ears shut as the boy let out a scream. His emotions she could feel; fear, anger, pain.
And the blood! There was too much blood! It saturated her sense of smell; how could a person stand to lose so much and still be able to stand!? She watched as the transformation took place, now having to see what happened to make the boy look the way he did when they first saw him in the lab. It was sick, just plain sick to make a humans' body contort and change that way.
She let out a gasp as a new emotion hit her. Dimming the others as it made itself prominent was the emotion of pure survival. And to survive meant the Reu had to die.

Kei Noikero, you are a thorn in our side. Return or die here. We will not hesitate to eliminate you if the need arises. We are here only for the two subjects. Get out of the way.
[glow=red,2,300]Subjects? Ahh the girls. Well guess what. Tell the doctor that he can just shove it up his ass for all I care. So you want to eliminate me? Try me! Try and see if you can kill me! [/glow] Kei spoke in return, thoughts transferring to his opponent. His opponent stood still for a couple of seconds, suddenly charging at him. Kei smirked inwardly, charging as well.
Each slashed out at the other, blocking each other’s attacks easily. The familiar clanging of weapons was heard, though instead of weapons, blades made from bone were making the same clang as metal. Their blades entwined they stood for a few moments, transferring thoughts to one another.
I am proceeding with my orders. You will perish for your interference.
[glow=red,2,300]Me? My, I’m flattered you all think I’m interfering. When the truth is, I’m saving my alter from the pain of you and your scientist fathers. Unlike you, I have a soul fool. It is you who will perish.[/glow]
I see….Stubborn as usual. Fine. I shall take away all methods you have and limit your chances at success. My mission will be a success. Your preparations and words are meaningless and you shall not prevail. I will assure it.
[glow=red,2,300]Yeah, Keep telling yourself that. [/glow] Kei finished, just as the Reu pushed him back. The Reu attempted to land a punch and again Kei jumped out of the way, dodging the next series of punches that came his way. Something seemed strange to him though. The punches…they were so easy to dodge, and earlier they had been more and more difficult. Perhaps the soulless Reus have gotten smarter and know when to lure….
A lure? Was that it? Not possible, they weren’t intelligent enough for something that complicated…Yet it was too late to realize they were getting smarter. When Kei dodged the next blow, he failed to notice the arm clutching onto the blade that came from his shoulder. Once he had noticed, it was far too late to react and the Reu snapped the blade off, as close the skin as possible. Kei shuddered in pain, and before long he felt another being torn from his skin. He wanted to yell out, but it was impossible, he had no voice now. Kei turned trying to stop him, but the Reu had a firm grip on Kei’s body by then, and continued to tear apart the blades, one by one. It was a pain unbearable, and Kei wanted only to return to his body to make it all stop.
Finally with no blades left, and blood seeping out of each gaping hole in the skin, Kei was thrown to the ground. Somehow however, Kei caught himself and managed to stand, though shivering from the pain induced. He looked up at the Reu, with eyesight blurring. The loss of blood was again getting to him and he found it hard to stand up, let alone protect himself…Perhaps the Reu was right. Perhaps it was here he would die and become like so many useless subjects before him. An old bit of data that had turned out to be too rebellious for it’s own good.
When Kei opened his eyes again, he found the Reu to be nowhere in sight. He stood up weakly, looking around silently. He nearly jumped when an arm clutched around his throat, long enough to return to the holder’s shoulder. Kei tried to turn to observe his captor, but the rapid spinning of his head made him dizzy and blurred his vision further. The arm gripped tighter, prompting Kei to grab it in an attempt to stop it, digging his claws as far into the exoskeleton as possible.
My how much you struggle Mimic. But this is your end. Embrace the idea of death, you’ll be joining it soon.
The Reu transferred, holding his arm about Kei, lifting Kei up from the ground, turning around so that now the Reu stood in front of Kei, holding him out with one hand around his neck, lifiting him higher above the ground. The Reu lifted his free arm above of Kei, the arm molding to the form of a blade.
Now is your end Mimic! Say your prayers and hope that God accepts your genetic mishap!
The Reu stood in silence to the girls, shouting loudly to Kei. He raised his arm a bit, throwing it back and shoving it into Kei’s chest. Kei shivered violently, his arms falling to his side limply, followed closely by his head. The Reu smirked inwardly, throwing Kei from the bladed, blood-soaked arm. It watched as Kei’s limp body bounced up from the force of the throw before tumbling back onto the ground. Soon the Reu turned to the girls….
Objective : Bringing the Mimic back alive… Failed. Secondary Objective: Retrieving DUAL project specimens…..Accepted.

Looking between Kei's new form and the creature that was attacking him, she noted carefully the random pauses that both beings simoultaneously took, staring each other down as they did so. This act confused her; but she did not pay as much heed to it as she did the fight itself.
For a while, the battle seemed to be evenly matched; each one held the other at bay. However, the struggle suddenly took a turn for the worst. The Reu began snapping the blades off of the other, causing the changed one to bleed profusely. Obscene amounts of blood began to flow from the wounds, and the scent filled Chiwi's nostrils. She gagged slightly, and her eyes began to water.
Looking up again, she saw the Reu slam his blade into Kei's chest. In wordless horror, she stepped backwards, staring in terrified awe. Her human mind went berserk with possibilities; to flee, or fight, or simply in horror, it could not decide.
Taking control, the cat portion in her began operating under one rule: Kill or be killed. It had just witnessed it murder the one they had followed and was now looking in their direction, which bore no good omens.
Letting out a low hiss, Chiwi's tail swished from side to side as she prepared herself for the Reu's approach. Without turning her head from the Reu, she whispered to her friend.
"Come...let's run no more..."

The battle would never end if they were so evenly matched, Zairu decided as she watched the two anticipate each others' movements and their blades ringing from impact. Then...the Reu started to seem to try less harder...was it nearing exhaustion, not fit for long battles?
Too late did she realize it was a lure. Her mouth was opened in a silent scream as the boy's blades, made of his bone, were snapped off, even more blood coming from the wounds. She doubled over, retching nothing, as she had not eaten for a very long time. It was too much to see, to smell, to feel, without being completely nauseated, almost unable to keep standing on your feet.
Her eyes lifted up just in time to see the Reu to form its arm into a blade and slam it right through the boy's chest.
"Oh my God..." She whispered. Her body felt completely numb, her mind refusing to believe what had just happened. He couldn't be dead, the one who had helped them escape from that lab, the one who could have told them why this had happened to them and helped them.
It was that doctor's fault. Everything that had happened was that...that monster’s fault. He was responsible for what had happened to them and he was responsible for that boy's murder. Anger gave way to hatred and it was poisoning her blood. She didn't want to just see the doctor and all who followed them put to justice, she wanted them dead.
And she wanted to be the executioner.
"Come...let's run no more..." She vaguely heard Chiwi say. Her vision had become red while she snarled; tail raised in challenge, ears completely flat against her head, fangs bared, and claws pointing threateningly at the Reu.
She was barely aware of herself; all she felt was the desire to kill, to make that thing suffer and beg for mercy before moving on to the next of the many who would feel her claws and fangs sink into their flesh as they drew their dying breath. The only thing that kept her from lunging at the Reu was that a little part of her mind had kept enough rationality to know that that way would insure her own death.

The Reu tilted it’s head at the two girls, noting their stances of defiance. If it had a mouth, it would’ve smirked at them. But alas it did not, and they were spared the evil grin of a captor. The Reu took one look at Kei’s bloodied body, and spoke again.
You were not prepared. Your life has been in vain, Mimic.
It spoke to a lifeless Kei, knowing he wouldn’t respond anyway. He turned back to the two girls and slowly began walking towards them. Soon he was within a foot and in the reach to slash out at them. He lifted his blade up, but stopped noticing something odd.
The blood.
The blood on the blade, which should’ve been a crimson hue, was now a tealish color and had begun to meld with the blade. He shoved his arm away from his face quickly, swinging the blade quickly to try to throw the blood off. But to no avail. He turned back to look at Kei, growling. The only thing Chiwi and Zairu would hear from him.
Even in death you torment us Mimic! What is this foul item left behind by your genetic mishap?!!
[glow=red,2,300]Heh. Don’t count me out yet…..[/glow]
The Reu suddenly turned from the two girls to go back to Kei. He raised the blade again, to finish what he had started, and just as he was about to strike again, Kei’s arms caught the blade, and he opened his eyes. The Reu growled louder, nearly snarling if not for his lack of a mouth.
DIE MIMIC!!!! DIE AND BE DONE WITH YOUR LIFE!
[glow=red,2,300]I don’t think so.[/glow]
Kei spoke, kicking the Reu in the stomach with enough force to knock him back a few feet. Silently he stood up, taking some effort on his part. He looked over at the girls with a glance, before clutching his shoulders and leaning over a little. With a groan he began to transform back and once he had his body back to normal he groaned loudly in pain, collapsing to his knees, gasping for air. He looked up quickly, at the Reu who was now just getting up. Quickly Kei stood up, though painfully. His right eye went into action and he spoke somewhat softly, but audible to Zairu and Chiwi with their heightened senses.
Kei looked on, clutching the worst of his shoulders, breathing heavily. The Reu had gotten up and walked towards him with a strange urgency. Kei waited until he was within reach. He looked up at it, now seeming just a bit shorter than him. The Reu raised his arm to attack again and when it looked like he would strike the silent Kei. He stopped, just completely stopped moving. Kei waited a few minutes, while the tealish blood seeped into the exoskeleton of the Reu. Once it had completely seeped in, he quietly imputed commands through his eye, and waited another few minutes.
Kei smirked a little, leaning over and poking the Reu. Immediately the Reu fell apart and accumulated into a pile of dust on the ground. Kei looked over at the two girls silently, turning around silently and beginning to walk towards a small house in the distance. He groaned, he no longer had a shirt, and what was left of it were small scraps that were soaked in blood. The sun bore down on his back as he walked, and the gaping hole in his chest was of no service to the cause. Finally the pressures of all conditions got to him, the loss of blood made him weary and dizzy and the heat was depleting what hydration he had. He soon met the ground in an exhausted slump.
Before long all went black…

The shock of the boy still being alive jolted Zairu out of her murderous mind state. He was alive after that wound to the chest!?
Even in death you torment us Mimic! What is this foul item left behind by your genetic mishap?!! the once mute Reu screamed, Zairu cringing from its cold, metallic, though now enraged, voice. She watched as the boy caught the blade and kicked the Reu in its stomach, a triumphant smile etching her face as it stumbled backwards.
Again the boy turned back to his normal form and started to recite something very quickly. After the initial shock, the Reu seemed to move towards the boy urgently; something about the numbers and letters that he was mumbling softly was clearly a threat to the Reu's very existance. Just when Zairu thought that she and Chiwi would have to witness the boy's death yet again, the Reu stopped abruptly. Her eyes widened in shock as the boy touched it and it crumbled to dust.
Zairu looked at Chiwi, before looking back at the boy who stumbled a few steps and then went down again. She went with Chiwi past the pile of dust that was once the Reu, already the wind scattering it across the field. Kneeling down, she saw that he wasn't dead, but just out cold. Going back for one of the curtains, she and Chiwi ripped it up and bound the chest wound, then going for the other major cuts.
"Come on. Let's get him to that house." She said, heaving him up on one end while Chiwi took the other. He had obviously been going in that direction, so it seemed logical that either it was his house or someone he knew that would help.
