Even in death you torment us Mimic! What is this foul item left behind by your genetic mishap?!!
Suddenly Chiwi felt her mind snap back to its proper place as she quickly gained control of herself once more. Tilting her head to the side, she thought to herself, What on earth is he talking about?
As she watched the Reu turn back to its supposedly deceased prey and raise its blades against it again, she, for a moment, thought it must have lost its mind. Then, she saw the boy raise his arms against the creature as his eyes immediately opened. How is that...even possible? She thought to herself.
After that, Kei once again transformed, turning back into his 'normal' human form. After a few minutes of eerie and highly uncomfortable silence, the boy simply reached out and poked the creature, watching it fall to dust. Unable to speak, Chiwi just stared, rubbed her eyes a little, and then stared again.
Then, Kei, who moaned, and subsequently hit the ground, soon to be unconscious, interrupted the quiet.
With Zairu's help, they used one of the curtains as a makeshift bandage for Kei's chest wound and a few other ones that looked fairly serious. Then, they lifted him up, and, as Zairu suggested, began carrying him to the house.
When they reached the front door, they discovered a palm scanner. With a little difficulty, they managed to place Kei's hand on the scanner, opening the door. Going through sideways, so that they could fit in while still holding Kei, Chiwi then looked around. It seemed to be a rather spacious house, although somewhat on the empty side.
Looking at Kei, and then at Zairu, Chiwi slowly suggested, "We should probably put him in the bath... to clean him up. We don't know how long he'll be asleep and it'd be a shame for him to die of an infection after surviving a stab wound to the chest."
After Zairu agreed, they wandered through the house, until they found a bathroom. Carefully, they somehow managed to get him in the bathtub, but not before they accidentally bumped his head against the wall. Then, Chiwi turned on the water and waited for the bath to fill up.

Kei slowly slipped into a conscious state, after the bump on the head that is. He was dimly aware of what was going on, and he felt awkward from being carried. He felt the cold ceramic of the bathtub beneath him, and soon heard the rushing water.
He groaned outwardly, slowly opening his eyes. Which took some effort as his eyes would close again or his vision would blur to the point where colors melded with each other. Once he had his vision recovered and could spare some energy, he looked over at the two girls.
He said nothing, but sat up slowly, noticing that the clear water he had been in was almost crimson from his blood. Once he had sat up fully, he silently yanked the curtain from his body, rolling it up and sticking it on the side of the bathtub. His body was no longer soaked in blood, and it was almost scary how pale his skin was.
Silently, he stood up. With effort, his legs failing to receive the command of standing easily. He clutched at the wall, standing up finally. It had taken a few minutes, but he was finally up. Though in all strangeness he shouldn't be awake at all. No one could possibly lose that much blood and suffer through all that pain and be conscious 10 or 15 minutes later.
One thing however was beyond the level of strange. When Zairu and Chiwi had wrapped the curtains around his chest wound, it had been a gaping hole. Now it was barely even a cut and wouldn't have been seen if it wasn't known to be there.
Without waiting for a word from the two girls, Kei stepped out of the bathtub and walked down the hall and into a room, leaving small puddles of water as he walked. Had it not been for his strange secrets and desperate need to be alone, Kei might've been a good companion for someone.
Well...at least he looked good in the dripping water.

"We should probably put him in the bath... to clean him up. We don't know how long he'll be asleep and it'd be a shame for him to die of an infection after surviving a stab wound to the chest." Zairu looked at Chiwi, back at the boy, and then nodded.
"Ouch...that's gonna hurt." Zairu commented when they accidentally bumped his head on the wall. When Chiwi turned on the water, the clear water quickly becoming crimson from his blood. It also seemed to break through the boy's unconsciousness because a groan alerted them.
She swore it was like one of those silent horror movies, he opened his eyes, slowly sitting up, and looking frighteningly pale. This wasn't natural, how the heck could he be conscious so quickly and be able to move!? Her jaw dropped as he ripped off the bandages on his chest to show...just a cut!? Hardly visible to boot! She was so stunned at his fast recovery rate that, when he stepped out of the bathroom and went down the hallway into a room, she just sat there.
She turned to look at Chiwi, completely amazed at what had just happened, and saw that Chiwi was stunned like herself, but was also holding a bit of a blush. She gave a snort and bursted into silent giggles.

For a moment, Chiwi stared at the area where the wound had once been. Her mouth moved for a moment, but no words came out, so she closed it. Staring, she watched him wordlessly exit the bathroom.
In spite of herself, Chiwi could not help but feel her cheeks start to burn slightly. Zairu also caught this, and immediately began laughing. Scowling at her friend, she growled, "Oh, hush up" and threw a bar of soap at her.
After a moment, Chiwi wandered out into what appeared the kitchen area. Though she was starving, she decided to wait until Kei appeared again to eat, so she flopped on a couch right outside the kitchen, and laid her head down.

Kei sighed heavily to himself, silently pulling at a towel from the closet. He gently dried himself off, rubbing the towel into his hair to get the wet strands to thicken slightly. Kei had left the door open, but didn't really care if someone passed by. He looked at the pool of water forming at his legs and began removing his jeans. He stuck the wet jeans into a bin in the corner where all his shredded jeans had been.
He dried himself off, all of him, and changed clothing. He walked out of the room in jeans of a darker blue than the previous ones and wearing a white button up shirt. He was too annoyed to button the shirt up and instead left it hanging loosely around his already slim figure. For a minute it had seemed like he had forgotten the two girls and upon seeing Chiwi laying on one of the couches, he nearly jumped. He stared at her for a minute and silently turned away, a slight blush on his cheeks.
Quickly he shook that away and began to walk into the kitchen. He pulled out a few of these new meals that they had out, that all you did was put it in the microwave with a few cups of water and you would have a meal. He sighed lighter this time, and put the packets to it on the table, as if saying "Here. Eat this and be done with it."
After placing the packet on the table, he sat on a stool at the small bar like area that was the island kitchen. He didn't drink or eat anything....He just...sat there.

As tired as she was, Chiwi fell into an almost asleep like state, until she heard Kei's departing steps. Jumping up from the couch, she followed Kei into the kitchen. Chiwi watched him carefully as he set packets of microwaveable food onto the counter so that they could eat. Hesitantly, she looked from the food, to the wordless Kei, and back to the food.
Clearing her throat a little, she stared at the floor before speaking. "Maybe... you should cook that... so I don't blow up your microwave."
As she said this, her tail drooped slightly; she was always embarrassed at her extreme lack of cooking skills. With a sigh, she sat on the floor, still not looking up.

From where Kei was sitting at the island kitchen table, he wondered silently about what this girl had said.
Blow up the microwave? How hard was it to put water on some food and just stick it into something to cook? Gah....
Kei looked over at her silently, his eyes fixed on her strangely, resembling a glare in feeling but in reality nowhere near being a glare. He sighed very quietly, getting up and taking the packets in hand. He walked over to the cabinet, pulling out two plates before placing the packets on the plates and dousing them in water. He placed them both in the microwave, setting it to 5 minutes and 30 seconds before going back to his seat at the island.
He stopped part way though, realizing that they couldn't possibly eat all of that food without something to drink. This slightly irritated him as he went back to pulling out cups and filling them with whatever juice he picked out first. He walked past the sitting Chiwi, without a word to her or even a glance, setting the cups down on the table. Once completed, he waited for the food to finish....

"Oh, hush up." She heard before being nailed in the head with a bar of soap.
"Oww!!" She clutched her head, but was still laughing from her friend's reaction to the boy getting out of the tub. She smiled as her friend left the room, staying behind to clean up the bathroom. She hummed to herself, bursting out again in giggles as she thought of what Rukino would do if she found out about this. They'd probably have to hide the boy in a bunker until Ru let off the steam on something else.
Thinking of Ru made her remember what had happened and she wondered what her parents and Chi's were thinking. How long had they been gone actually? A week, two weeks, longer? Looking up at the mirror she made another discovery; her eyes, instead of their normal green, were now gold. She frowned, but it didn't make any sense to get angry over the color of her eyes when her whole genetic make-up had been virtually rewritten.
Finishing up in the bathroom, she walked out and heard a microwave going. Her stomach growled and she decided she'd get something too...a nice raw piece of raw meat maybe...she started at the thought and then brushed it away, she was just joking for her stomach, right?
Coming into the kitchen, she saw Chiwi, looking sheepish, and the boy getting cups while waiting for the food to be done. She looped an arm around her friend, knowing how Chiwi abhorred her lack of cooking skills.
"Don't worry 'bout it Chi." She whispered, "So cooking's not your strong point? Big deal." Zairu gave her an encouraging pat on the shoulder before straightening herself up. Watching the boy for a few seconds, she finally broke the silence.
"Soo...what's your name? We can't really properly thank you for helping us bust out of that place back there if we don't know. Mine is Zairu and she's Chiwi."

Kei looked over at Zairu for a minute while she consoled her friend on the ground. He turned once the microwave finished, taking out the food and placing it on the table next to the drinks. He closed his eyes for a few seconds, tuning everything out in those seconds just for a passing bit of information....Useless information.
He sighed, standing up from the bent position it had taken for him to put the plates on the table. At once he heard Zairu speak to him, introducing herself and her friend on the floor, Chiwi. Kei turned to face them, staring at them silently.
"Kei......My name is Kei...." He muttered, of course muttering was of no use when around them with their heightened senses. His voice was calm, and somewhat deep, though still gentle. He looked down at the ground, losing whatever eye contact he had with the two. He quickly returned to his seat at the island kitchen, looking at the marble on the counter silently.

After she asked him to cook the food for them, Kei gave her a funny look, which she carefully avoided. She watched in wonder as Kei made sense of the machine and it began to cook the food. As they waited for it, her tail swished side to side on the floor, as she avoided the looks he was giving her.
"Don't worry 'bout it Chi. So cooking's not your strong point? Big deal." Zairu consoled her, as she came into the kitchen. Nodding slightly, she slowly stood up and, as Zairu introduced her, waved politely, bowing her head a little.
Though he mumbled it, the words "Kei......My name is Kei...." rang loudly in Chiwi's ears. "Nice to meet you," Chiwi politely replied.
Sitting down at the counter, she began to eat. Pausing, she looked at Kei. "Aren't you going to eat too?" she inquired.

Kei silently wondered to himself why Chiwi had sat down at the counter next to him instead of eating at the table. He carefully avoided her glance, making sure to avoid eye contact with the two after telling them his name.
Chiwi's words soon brought him out of whatever thought he was having. Slightly startled, he looked over at her, directly making eye contact by accident. Quickly he turned away, speaking quietly again.
"I....I'm not really hungry....You two must be starving after what...they've done to you....Eat up, it's good for you."

"Kei, huh? Nice to meet you." She smiled, but looked a little confused when he refused to look at the two of them after telling them his name.
She sniffed the food set out in front of them, wanting very much to grab a bowl and begin eating, but it would've been very rude if she took something before Kei. After all, it was his house and he had made it; better let him start before the others. Chiwi, however, went for it, and since there was no sign that he really cared, she took some for herself, but saw that Kei didn't.
"Aren't you going to eat too?" Her friend voiced her own thoughts as well.
"I....I'm not really hungry....You two must be starving after what...they've done to you....Eat up, it's good for you." He replied, after seemingly startled that Chiwi would ask such a question.
"Well...if you're sure." Zairu's stomach growled loudly and she went red, but smiled and laughed it off, "My stomach and I thank you greatly, Kei."
It was hard to take small bites and not wolf it all down, but she would appreciate it when her stomach wouldn't be killing her from the sudden intake.
"Mmmm...really good. Best I've ever tasted." She meant every word. She couldn't remember the last time she was this hungry, making the food's flavor enhanced.

"It's only instant food....It's not gourmet...." Kei muttered, staring down at the marble swirls on the counter. He stood up, walking over to the sink, where there was a miniture pile of dishes. He sighed lightly, and began washing, keep his eyes downcast from them. If he happened to look up, he would quickly look away, avoiding their eyes.
What was done to them...was nothing compared to his messed up genes. He had no reason to let them lay eyes upon such mishapen human genomes.... Avoidance was key now that they were in his house..
Kei finished the dishes silently, walking over to the kitchen wall. He leaned on it gently, looking away from them, patiently waiting for them to finish eating.

Although she agreed with Zairu completely, Chiwi could not help but laugh a little when Kei said, "It's only instant food....It's not gourmet...."
As she ate, she watched him wash some of the dishes, then lean against the wall. Chiwi was done almost as he did so; she was hungry and felt uncomfortable that he was not eating as well.
When she was finished eating, she carried her dishes to the sink and washed them before setting them in the bottom. Heh, she thought to herself. Rukino would be proud to see that I washed my own dishes.... Shaking her head slightly, Chiwi just moved out of the way, so Zairu would have room.
After a moment of eerie silence, Chiwi slowly asked, "So....do you live by yourself?"

Kei blushed a little, seeing that he had succeeded in making someone laugh with little effort on his part. Kei himself felt uneasy about eating around people he had never met before. Though from the way they acted around it, it was obvious they were uneasy that he was not eating with them. No matter, he wasn't hungry at the moment anyway.
He looked over, watching the one named Chiwi get up and wash her own dishes. It felt a little refreshing to not have to do the dishes for once, though only for a fleeting moment. He looked down at the floor once she was able to look up at him.
Before long, after a long pause of silence, he heard Chiwi speaking to him. Something along the lines of "So....do you live by yourself?"
He looked up a little, but not enough that they would be able to see his face, despite how tall he was. The majority of his long bangs seemed to cover his eyes very well, and in the way he held his head at that moment looked much like the moment when he stood outside of the transporter, dripping the blood that burned through steel and iron.
"Eh? Oh....Ye..yeah.....No one really...bothers to visit.... I...I don't know very..many people..." Kei muttered, keeping his eyes downcast. How strange he must seem to these two girls.. Strangely that reminded him of something...That lady that followed him to the city where Reitsu was...She was looking for someone, wasn't she? Could it be one of these two girls?
"Hey....What are your last names?" Kei asked, his voice suddenly darker and more confident. He waited patiently for their responses, giving his eye the command to open up a terminal for a coordinate search....
